Offline Reporting

Safety Reporting Beyond Connectivity.

Basements, tunnels, pipelines and remote sites rarely have reliable signal. In the Green Codes Pro installable app, observations and incidents are captured without a connection — and sent once, under the same rules, when it returns.

Connectivity challenges

The hazard is often where the signal is not.

When reporting depends on coverage, observations wait for the end of the shift — and details are lost on the way back to the office.

  • Underground and enclosed

Basements, tunnels, shafts and plant rooms behind concrete and steel.

  • Remote and spread out

Pipelines, desert road projects, quarries and well sites far from coverage.

  • Industrial interference

Large steel structures, tanks and shutdown areas where signal drops in and out.

  • Ports and marine works

Quaysides and vessels where connections come and go with the work.

The risk is not the missing signal. It is the report that never gets written.

Local capture, stated plainly

What is captured — and how it is held on the device.

What you can capture

  • Observations and incidents — the two record types available offline.
  • Photos, resized on the phone before they are stored.
  • The device’s location, where your organization enables it.
  • A drawn signature, and the form saved as you type.

How it is held

  • In the app’s storage on that device, belonging to the person signed in.
  • Cleared at sign-out — after a warning about unsent reports — or when someone else signs in.
  • Within a storage limit your organization sets (50 MB by default).
  • Not encrypted by the app itself: protect devices with a screen lock and your mobile device policy.

Sync behaviour

Sent once. Checked fully. Clear at every step.

  2. Sending

  • Automatic when you reconnect

While the app is open, waiting reports are sent as soon as the connection returns — or straight away with Send now.

  • Never a duplicate

Each report carries an ID created on the device. If a send is repeated, the platform answers with the record it already made.

  • Same rules as online

Required fields, photo rules and project access are checked exactly as for the online form.

  • Status you can trust

Waiting, Sending, Sent with its reference — or Not accepted with the reasons, ready to correct and send again.

Limitations and safeguards

What offline reporting is — and what it is not.

  • Green Codes Pro onlyAvailable in Cloud Pro and Enterprise, switched on for your organization. Not available in Cloud Light.
  • Observations and incidentsOther records are created online.
  • Prepare it online firstOpen the offline capture page once while online and signed in, so it is ready on the device.
  • Sends while the app is openReports do not send in the background with the app closed — open it when you are back in coverage.
  • Signed out? Nothing is lostIf the session has ended, the queue is kept until you sign in again and send.
  • Protect the deviceQueued reports are not encrypted by the app; use a screen lock and your organization’s device policy.
