From Risk Assessment to Permit: Keep Controls Connected
Connect approved risk assessments to permit precautions in Green Codes Pro and keep field checks tied to the work being authorised.

A risk assessment and a permit may describe the same task but sit in different files. When the precautions are copied manually, reviewers need to check that the versions and conditions still match. Green Codes Pro connects risk assessment with work authorisation so relevant controls can travel with the record they support.
Use a defined assessment method
The risk module supports the organisation's versioned matrix, assessment types such as HIRA and JSA, and hazard and control libraries. Agree the methodology and review the assessment before it becomes the basis for another operational decision. A recorded score is meaningful only in the context of the matrix and assumptions used.
Bring approved controls into the permit
A permit can pull library-backed controls from an approved assessment onto its checklist. This helps reviewers work from a connected set of precautions instead of relying on a fresh transcription. The permit team still needs to check that the task, location and actual conditions fit the assessment.
Verify the controls in the field
For a maintenance task, confirm the applicable precautions with the authorised people before work starts. If the scope or conditions change, use the organisation's assessment and permit review process. A linked control is a traceable requirement; the link itself is not evidence that the control has been implemented.
Make learning available to the next review
Investigation work can compare planned controls with what was found at the time of an incident. That context can help teams identify what needs improvement in future assessments. Where AI is configured, it may suggest controls from the organisation's library; it does not assign the risk rating or approve the work.
